Emergency Medicine

The Emergency Department is committed to provide high quality, cost effective healthcare and promote wellness throughout the community. Our hospitals are available to provide their respective communities with care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We strive to give our patients the best of medical care in a compassionate and respectful manner.

We have recently renovated our Emergency Room to create extra rooms for patients. In addition to this, we have started offering a nurse first triage so that patients no longer have to go to registration and can immediately see the nurse to determine the course of care. Registration is now mobile and comes to each patient to collect necessary information. Our patient advocates will keep you as comfortable as possible to ensure that your visit runs smoothly.

Our department consists of designated areas for triage and 18 beds for patient care. We have rooms designated for cardiac care and beds for major trauma, orthopedics, and other problems that can present to us for care. We have the latest in monitoring equipment, and have an extensive range of laboratory and radiological options to help in diagnosing your problem.

Our department is staffed with an excellent group of nurses who are trained to meet the needs of our patients. We have physician coverage 24 hours per day. Most of our physicians live locally and choose to work in their community. Additionally, we have physician assistant’s (PA) or Nurse Practitioners (FNP) who provide coverage during our busiest times daily.

There are times when numerous patients will come to the department in a short period of time. Patients are triaged and seen according to our assessment of the potential severity of their illness, not on a first come-first serve basis. We will make every effort to make sure you are seen as soon as possible, and that you are comfortable while you wait.
